Just outside Joshua Tree in Landers,CA lies the structural wonder known as The Integratron. Its creator, George Van Tassel began building this one-of-a-kind 38-foot high, 55-foot diameter, all wood dome in 1959 after telepathically communicating with extraterrestrials – as the story goes. Tassel designed it to be an electrostatic generator for the purpose of rejuvenation and time travel. The location of the Integratron is an essential part of its functioning. It was built on an intersection of powerful geomagnetic forces that, when focused by the unique geometry of the building, concentrate and amplify the earth’s magnetic field.
Because of its intense spiritual vibes, the current owners transformed it into a spiritual oasis where they offer daily Sound Bath Sessions. Scientists, musicians, sound therapists, meditation and yoga folks, spiritual seekers and tourists love to visit The Integratron for the unique sound bath sessions that the owners provide.
So what exactly is a sound
bath? It’s actually an ancient
meditative experience performed across the globe which uses crystal bowls for
sound-healing. Remember the sound of moving
your finger along the rim of water or wine glasses? It’s kind of like that! The Integratron describes it like this:
You will be resting comfortably in the deeply resonant, multi-wave sound chamber while a sequence of quartz crystal singing bowls are played, each one keyed to the energy centers or chakras of the body, where sound is nutrition for the nervous system. The results are waves of peace, heightened awareness, and relaxation of the mind and body.
It’s basically a sound-healing technique that is very relaxing, low-maintenance (bathers just lie on the floor and ultimately rejuvenating. The Integratron calls it “kindergarten nap time for grown-ups in a sound sphere.” They say folks visit with chronic illnesses, ailments, emotional and physical problems and many have reported healing and happiness.
You can book a Sound Bath at The Integratron any day of the week. They offer private and public sound baths. Public sound baths consist of about 30 people and are $35 per person on weekdays and $40 per person on weekends& holidays.
